Power of ‘W’ is an initiative to make ReNew Power a progressive and gender-just organisation for both men and women. We firmly believe in gender parity and equal opportunities for all ReNewers towards growth and excellence in career. Power of W is a quarterly interaction where all ReNewers are invited to share their experiences, views and concerns. This initiative is aimed towards making workplace a healthier and respectful place for women and create a boundary less work culture.
On July 16, a session was organized on the topic – Is there a right organization or do we need to make the organization right for us? In the session, our Chief Sustanability, CSR and Communications Officer, Vaishali Nigam Sinha had a conversation with Wendy A. Franks who is the Non Executive Director at ReNew Power.
Some interesting anecdotes were exchanged at the session and the issue of the challenges faced by women to return to work after motherhood was discussed.
“The employers need to be more empathetic towards women returning to work motherhood to ensure corporates retain their workforce. It makes economic sense to help women return to their roles after motherhood. It will optimize the operations to ensure more senior women are retained”, said Wendy.0
